I'm back! again! Hopefully for good this time. I still have some knee pain, but I'm going to baby them and start slow, but serious. I have a tri in 3 months and have no base. I did 3*800 on the track. 400 rest. 3:04, 3:07, 3:05.
3 easy miles today. I am going to do a 10k on Sat. It will probably be super slow and painful, but then I'll have no where to go but up for the rest of the season, hopefully.
I was a little worried about how I would feel today since I haven't run more than 4.5 miles in months. I wore compression sleeves and took some ibuprofen and hit the road. I felt much better than I thought I would. I finished in 43:19 which is a good starting off point for me. I want to be much faster in the next couple of months, but I was just hoping to be under 50 considering the last few months. I'm especially excited that I'm not hurting after. Yay!
