Finally making my first entry. (Thanks for all the help Tara.) I tried a few weeks ago, then I have been sick. Finally felt like running today. I did 4 easy miles on the tredmill. Felt like forever(40min.). Hope to start feeling better soon and get into shape.

Another fairly easy day. I'm still not feeling great. At least I feel like running, though. That's huge next to last week. Just signed up for the Burley Spudman Triathlon so I really need to get healthy and focus.

I just did 3 easy miles today. Trying to increase my mileage. My left knee really bothered me today. Probably take tomorrow off.

Tried running and had to quit after 2 miles because my knee hurt. I probably should have stopped sooner, but I was stubborn. Now I regret it because I think I am going to have to take some real time off.

I finally ran today! YAY! My knee is not back to normal, but I got through an actual run. Probably walk tomorrow and try running again on Fri. I have never had to walk and then call it a workout in my life. Driving me crazy!

I'm back! again! Hopefully for good this time. I still have some knee pain, but I'm going to baby them and start slow, but serious. I have a tri in 3 months and have no base. I did 3*800 on the track. 400 rest. 3:04, 3:07, 3:05.

I was a little worried about how I would feel today since I haven't run more than 4.5 miles in months. I wore compression sleeves and took some ibuprofen and hit the road. I felt much better than I thought I would. I finished in 43:19 which is a good starting off point for me. I want to be much faster in the next couple of months, but I was just hoping to be under 50 considering the last few months. I'm especially excited that I'm not hurting after. Yay!

Rode my bike to the track (5). Then I did 1x400 (1:28) 3x800 (3:12, 3:11. 3:11), 2x400 (1:25, 1:25), 2x200 (0:40, 0:35) with a rest of 1/2 the distance jog inbetween. I wanted to do a little more speed work, but it was harder than I thought. So slow! My knee kind of hurt and I was thinking of all these excuses as to why I am not getting the pace I would like. Then, I realized I am comparing myself to what I used to be able to do instead of thinking of this as a place to try and improve.
