Rode my bike to the track (5). Then I did 1x400 (1:28) 3x800 (3:12, 3:11. 3:11), 2x400 (1:25, 1:25), 2x200 (0:40, 0:35) with a rest of 1/2 the distance jog inbetween. I wanted to do a little more speed work, but it was harder than I thought. So slow! My knee kind of hurt and I was thinking of all these excuses as to why I am not getting the pace I would like. Then, I realized I am comparing myself to what I used to be able to do instead of thinking of this as a place to try and improve. |
