| Today I did a 30 mile bike ride. It felt good, but I was pretty worn out after. I felt like it was a great low impact workout. |

| I was a little worried about how I would feel today since I haven't run more than 4.5 miles in months. I wore compression sleeves and took some ibuprofen and hit the road. I felt much better than I thought I would. I finished in 43:19 which is a good starting off point for me. I want to be much faster in the next couple of months, but I was just hoping to be under 50 considering the last few months. I'm especially excited that I'm not hurting after. Yay! |

I wanted to increase my distance a little bit today. There were a lot of hills and some wind. 58:39. It was slow and felt pretty hard. |

| Rode my bike to the track (5). Then I did 1x400 (1:28) 3x800 (3:12, 3:11. 3:11), 2x400 (1:25, 1:25), 2x200 (0:40, 0:35) with a rest of 1/2 the distance jog inbetween. I wanted to do a little more speed work, but it was harder than I thought. So slow! My knee kind of hurt and I was thinking of all these excuses as to why I am not getting the pace I would like. Then, I realized I am comparing myself to what I used to be able to do instead of thinking of this as a place to try and improve. |
